Aaron Cope

Kia ora koutou, ko Aaron Cope tōku ingoa.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching at a range of intermediate schools across the Wellington region, and I love working with students at this stage of their journey helping them grow, gain confidence, and find their place in the world.

One of the best parts of teaching for me is seeing that lightbulb moment when a student’s face shifts from puzzled to “I’ve got it!” I’m passionate about building strong connections with students from all walks of life and creating a classroom where everyone feels valued and supported.

I’ve always been fascinated by science and the way the world around us works. This curiosity initially led me to pursue a career in sports physiotherapy, and I love bringing that knowledge into the classroom. I also have a keen interest in Aotearoa’s history and enjoy passing that on to the students I teach. On top of that, I have a deep appreciation for the power of language as a tool for self-expression and love writing in my spare time.

I’m an active relaxer, so when I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me cycling, surfing, tramping, or lifting weights. I’m also a lifelong supporter of the mighty New Zealand Warriors, and I just know that this year is going to be our year!
