Building strong, positive relationships is at the heart of my approach to education. I am passionate about supporting all tamariki to reach their potential and achieve their best. This will be different for all students. I also believe strongly in developing the whole child, that is, supporting their social, emotional, physical and academic development. I feel privileged to be joining such a wonderful school.

It is really important that our school fully supports the learning styles of all of our students. I also firmly believe that learning should be fun and engaging. We are working hard to ensure that learning at our school is a positive experience for every child. I am particularly interested in increasing the amount of choice our learners have about their learning and making sure that our school is flexible enough to meet the needs of all of our students.

I have been involved in education since 2010, spending my previous 15 years at Karori Normal School.  I feel privileged to be joining Mākara Model School as the Principal.   In my spare time I like to hang out with my family, go running on the trails around Wellington, support my kids with their sport and spend time at our bach at Waikanae Beach. I am so excited to be coming to Mākara Model School and am looking forward to getting to know the staff, tamariki and their whānau.
